History :

Shaurya Cricket Club joined Finnish Cricket League in year 2012. SCC has been striving continuously to promote the game of cricket not just locally, but in and around Finland. We participate in tournaments and friendly matches aimed at promoting awareness in the general, about the game of cricket.

 

Over the last one year, SCC as a team has made tremendous improvements in all areas of the game and was able to produce very competitive games. SCC had a good cricketing season in 2012 and we went on to be crowned the Champions of Div 2 SM40 league in 2013. All this in just 2 years of  starting the club.

 

We play most Saturdays and Sundays in the league ( SM40 and T20) from May until late-September and then go on to train indoors during winters and participate in several indoor tournaments. Practice sessions are scheduled on weekday evenings and weekends. SCC is based in Espoo, Our home ground is located in Leppävärä, Espoo. SCC currently has over 20 active members in the club.We also have a fantastic Shaurya CC supporters club with over 150 members from our family and friends who support us by coming down to the games and cheering for us.

 

The cricket in Finland is organized by Finnish Cricket Association affiliated to ICC. We have a national cricket ground in Kerava and they organize the summer 40 over league ( SM40) in 3 divisions and T20 tournaments played in Finland and Estonia with teams traveling to both the countries for matches (check out Cricket Finland). Our club provides fantastic equipment with facilities to play good cricket and compete. 

 

The Cricket season is usually long with many matches.We are always looking for more people to join our club and enjoy playing our favourtie sport. So come be a Shauryan!!!!
